Flavour Text:
Fernling scour the forest floors for little prey such as bugs and smaller mammals, digging up the dirt with their claws. They can tell the temperature of the air with the leaf on their head. Being half bird and half reptile, they are thoroughly studied. Occasionally they will migrate south for winters, but on other occasions, the species has been shown to hibernate instead. It seems to depend on what flock is being studied.
Habitat: Jungles, Forests, Warm Mountain Ranges

I LOVEEEE this. Maybe I'm the only FFer here, but it's clearly based on a Quail and a reptile<as stated in the ;Dex bird+reptile=Cocatrice .

I agree with rukiddingme3, I'm not digging this one :( You need to make sure, as a starter, people can tell what its based off of, and I honestly don't think anybody could unless they're told... In addition, its really bored and ugly for a starter. I'd suggest trying a few more generic animals for grass starters, it doesn't have to be a chameleon or volan ya know? The other two work just fine for me though!

I guess. :/ I'm kinda happy with it though. The grass starter has always been the hardest for me and I've NEVER been happy with it until now. I guess I can take another swing at it, but I'm not promising anything great xD.

I can second that. Grass starters are so hard to get right but I did prefer your last one. The bird one (I cant remember what it was based on)
